There are around 5 places to eat and drink in Terminal 8 including a coffee shop, burrito bar, a diner and a Chinese restaurant.
Facilities are very limited at this terminal - don't count on being able to do much shopping when you get here.
If you have some time before your flight and would like to explore the dining and retail options at LAX, your boarding pass gets you into any terminal. Make sure you leave enough time to get back to your gate.
