Before Security there's a coffeehouse and a Heathrow-themed British chain with a ‘control tower’ observation deck, serving pub food, craft beers and organic ciders. After Security, 11 restaurants represent local chefs, along with Italian, Frenchand Japanese cuisine. Name-droppers should try celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal's The Perfectionists' Café for speedy service and a celebration of English classics. A specially brewed Terminal 2 lager, Wingman, can be found at the London Pride's airport branch.

Buy last-minute travel accessories, browse designer names like Gucci and Kate Spade, and shop at British favorites, including John Lewis, Burberry and Mulberry. Harrods is also represented among the terminal's 30 stores - it has an outlet selling luxury household items, gourmet delicacies and gifts, as well as a dedicated Fine Watch Room. At World of Whiskies, connoisseurs can browse through over 350 malts, including some rare finds.
