About The Airport

One of 3 major airports serving Moscow, Sheremetyevo has 4 operational passenger terminals: B, D, E, and F. Terminal B – in the northern section of the airport – was recently rebuilt in preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament and handles domestic flights only. This airport is currently the busiest in the country and the largest that handles regular international flights.

Getting to and from the airport

Sheremetyevo International Airport is 29km from Moscow.

Taxi - you can order an official taxi at the desks in the Arrivals Halls in Terminals B, D, E, and F. Avoid taxis touting for business outside customs.

Bus - several bus lines run to and from Moscow.

Trains - the Aeroexpress high-speed train between the airport and Belourussky Rail Terminal runs every 20-30 minutes and takes 30-40 minutes.

Car rental - 11 car rental companies operate from the airport.

Parking

The airport has a range of short- and long-term parking options. There are no designated accessible parking places, but passengers with special needs or disabilities can park for free.

Transit and in-airport hotels

The Hotel V Express is in Terminal E after Passport Control.

A free shuttle bus runs between Terminal B and south terminals (D, E and F). Terminals D, E and F are all connected by walkways.

Healthy Travel Tip

Avoid drinking tap water in Russia - bottled water is widely available. Ask for drinks without ice, and opt for cooked meals instead of salads that may have been washed using tap water.
