Most terminals shut for at least a few hours between 01.00 and 04.00 and there are no 24-hour eateries.
There are also no baggage storage facilities in the terminals for security reasons.
Los Angeles International Airport is 24km from downtown LA.
Taxi - you can get a taxi at the curbside Lower/Arrival Level by the yellow signs. Taxis must have the official seal of the City of Los Angeles to pick up travelers. Alternatively, two operators provide shared ride van services.
Bus - the LAX FlyAway service connects all LAX terminals with Van Nuys, Union Station, Westwood, Santa Monica and Hollywood. The buses pick up passengers in front of each terminal on the Lower/Arrivals Level islands. Other services run from the LAX City Bus Center close to Parking Lot C. Shuttle buses connect it with all terminals.
Metro - look for the red 'Hotel and Courtesy Shuttle' sign outside each terminal. Frequent free shuttles go to the Marriott, Courtyard by Marriot, Hilton, Embassy Suites North, Holiday Inn & La Quinta Inn, Crowne Plaza, Renaissance, Montura, Westin & Four Points Sheraton.
Hotel shuttle - the Hotel Hoppa service runs between the terminals and hotels close to the airport. Buses stop just outside the terminals.
Car rental - some 10 car rental companies provide services at LAX. Look for the purple 'Rental Car Shuttle' sign on the Lower/Arrivals Level islands after Baggage Claim. The shuttles takes you to the rental offices.
Regardless of the airline you fly or ticket you hold, membership means a warm welcome awaits.
