There are around 50 places to eat in the terminal, though only 5 or 6 are formal restaurants. Food options are tailored to destinations. The eastern concourses served by Japan Airlines have several Asian eateries, while food on the western concourses - with their gates to Europe and the US - is more European-oriented.

Duty-free shopping is available on the 4th floor, and there's a wide range of stores and mini markets throughout the terminal. You can browse leading cosmetics brands in the long, walk-through shopping street, and luxury boutiques such as Bally, Burberry and Cartier can be found on Level 4, Concourse D.

Some 15 stalls offer all types of Thai food at the 24-hour food court on Level 1. There's also a café on Level 2 (Arrivals) and on Level 3 (Meeting).

Terminal tips

Trilingual loudspeaker announcements can be intrusive, especially if you're waiting for a while. Consider bringing some earplugs in your hand luggage if you'd like to read.

Some travelers have reported long queues at Arrivals.

To save time, make sure you have filled out your arrival card - also known as the TM.6 card - before getting to the Immigration checkpoint.

If you have elderly passengers over 75 years in your travel party, use the express lanes at Immigration.
